For over 50 years, we have stood for professionalism, innovation and family friendliness. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced skier, with us you will learn modern techniques from state-certified ski instructors and enjoy pure skiing pleasure in a relaxed atmosphere.
We offer ski courses for children and adults, private lessons and individual ski guidance. We are active in the Merano 2000, Schwemmalm, Schnalstal and Vigiljoch ski areas.

Story
History
From its beginnings at Vigiljoch to the Ski School Sunshine – a success story full of passion.
It all began in the 1970s: Piero Mazzorana founded the Ski School Vigiljoch in the idyllic Vigiljoch. With a pioneering spirit, he laid the foundation for an institution that still stands for enthusiasm for skiing today. In the 1980s and 1990s, Karl Zuech continued to run the ski school with heart, soul and passion, before Lucas Kuntner took over the management in the new millennium. Over five decades, the ski school has constantly reinvented itself – making it one of the oldest ski schools in the Merano area.
The Vigiljoch was once a lively meeting place for the local and national skiing scene. Today, it is considered a charming, nostalgic ski area that only operates when there is natural snow. Instead of seeing this change as a setback, our ski school seized the opportunity to develop further: we opened up new ski areas throughout South Tyrol and made diversity, flexibility and innovation our strengths. A supposed crisis turned out into a unique concept – and that is exactly what we are known for today.
2025 marks the beginning of a new chapter: the Ski School Vigiljoch is becoming the Ski School Sunshine. The new name is international, easy to understand, full of energy and enthusiasm. It conveys exactly what we stand for: the joy of skiing, a passion for the mountains and a positive attitude to life.
With a young, dynamic and motivated team, we are embarking on a journey into the future. Our goal: a flexible, personalised course programme at various locations that gives everyone – from little ski stars to experienced enthusiasts – unforgettable moments on the slopes of South Tyrol
